Description
This is a piece I did in 2016 before the “Black Lives Matter” movement really came to the forefront. I kept turning on the news and seeing people dying and being killed by police. It’s not intended as an anti-law enforcement but more of a “something is wrong” statement. Two of the people who modeled for this artwork were former students and the older gentleman was a hard core republican who knew full well what the piece was about. The numbers on the drawings represent zip codes where incidents occurred. , Ferguson, Missouri; Staten Island, New York and Cleveland, Ohio.
